This seems like it should be easy to do, but I can’t figure it out. Forgive me if it’s been asked before – I searched the forums but couldn’t find anything that answered my question.

I have 8 small solids arranged in a circle, all parented to a null object. The anchor point of the null is in the center of the circle. I want to scale up the null so that the solids “spread out,” but their size doesn’t change. IE, I want the position or anchor point of the solids to follow the scale of the parent null, but I do not want the scale to follow the scale.

    Thanks

Try adding this expression to each solid’s scale property:

    value*(100/thisComp.layer(“Null 1”).scale[0])
