  parenting menu broken

  hey guys,

  suddenly my parenting menu won’t work and i can’t parent anything to anything else. it simply refuses to “drop down” so i can select a parent.
  seems to be in just this project, all of a sudden. i can’t go back to a previous version because then i lose stacks of changes. i tried trashing my prefs and that didn’t work. i tried rearranging or resetting my workspace and that didn’t work.
  has anyone ever experienced this? what the hell can i do if i can’t use the parenting dropdown in the timeline?

  will try importing in v7 and seeing what happens (although i hate v7 with a passion because of it’s rearranging issues and the fact that closed precomps don’t return you to the original parent comp.

  nope, ae7 wont work either.

  i can actually see the parent window, but it begins 2px or so from the bottom of my monitor, making it impossible to select any options.

  argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
