    hello everybody!

ive been working on this very big and complicated project lately.its a tutorial video that has two windows of different sizes on screen, playing two videos that are perfectly syncked with each other.theres also a lot of effects, transitions, slow motions etc…the video is 40+ minutes long and its fragmented into 1000+ pieces(to say the least)

what i want to do now is export each video individually(without any cropping or panning) so that i have two already edited full-screen videos that i can then position, pan and crop at my leisure in a new session of vegas.

if i were to pan one clip to full screen and then copy paste its attributes to all the others i would loose all the slow motion effects(and i cant afford that because this whole video has a very fragile balance…the voice,1st video and 2nd video need to be syncked down to a tee in order for it to work.)

i know what i could have done from the get go to avoid being in this situation now,but its too late…it is what it is and i gotta make it work with what i got.i searched the internet for a solution but it seems like theres no way to chose WHICH attributes to copy(it seems like its a “package deal”)

so what im asking you guys is if anyone has any creative/unorthodox methods for achieving what i need?

i included a screenshot to give you an idea of what im working with…basically i want both clips exported as separate full screen videos.

the only workaround i could think of was to add a neon pink/green background, mute all the channels except for “video 1” and export it like that(and then do some chroma keying) and repeat for video 2…but i really dont wanna go this route.

    any thoughts?maybe im missing something?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Mute all the channels except for “video 1” and export it like that
    and repeat for video 2
…… That would be a solution, but you would
not need to do any chroma keying if you render each out with an alpha
channel eg:(Quicktime, PNG Format, Compressed depth 32bpp color).

Then select (Straight) in their alph channel setting when you drop
them back on the timeline after rendering.

thank you for your help…i will try that

however,i must say im very disappointed that such “no brainer” features arent present in none of the video editing software ive used so far.

you really should be able to copy coordinates(such as height, width, position) and just paste them on any clip that you want.

In certain other situations that can be done in Vegas.

I have programmed an extension that does copy and paste of attributes you choose. It requires Vegas 11 or higher. What version of Vegas are you running?

Wonder if that extension would help in Francesco’s case.

Here it is. I have not released this officially yet because there is no documentation.

    7089_vegasblacktoolsextension.rar.zip

Use the copy button in the extension instead of right click copy (one of the Attributes Memory buttons will turn green.) Select all of the events you need to paste to and hit the Paste Attributes button. A choice window will pop up.

You can use Pan/Crop copy/paste commands from Vegasaur extension. It has free 30 day trial period.

i downloaded the thing Aleksey suggested because im kinda in a hurry and it works well.(but the trial will expire in 30 days so i’d like to figure out how to make your extension work)

i put the extracted files in the vegas directory(in c:) where all the other DLL’s are.then i tried to use the copy button in vegas and paste but nothing happened.no choice window popped up.i must be doing something wrong.

    any thoughts?
