I cannot import my Panasonic sd9 footage into Imovie or FCP. Im using the log and transfer option in FCP and it pulls up my camera info. All files end with .CPI. Do I need to rename them to get FCP to recognize or what? Been digging for hours on this.

Usually, this just works OK. The footage is AVCHD… and you need to set the preferences in the log and transfer tool to set it to become Pro Res for best results. These prefs are found under the icon that looks like a gear. Might be all you need to do. If you still have problems seeing the footage in the log and transfer window, copy it from the SD card to your hard drive then do the conversion to Pro Res.
