Will Premiere Pro be able to edit dvcpro and HD from the HVX200 Panasonic HD camera soon? Or not at all. In other words do I need to buy FCP or AVID. I DO plan to purchase that camera.

Where did you hear/read the rumor regarding Premiere Pro v2 and its support of DVC Pro 50/HD?
Adobe has been very silent about any updates to their software.

I spoke to an Adobe rep about that very issue at DV Expo and they said currently the only way to edit DVCPRO HD files with Premiere was to use the Matrox Axio hardware solution, but he gave me a wink and said that there would be a software solution to that problem in the near future from Adobe. He gave no time table for that solution, but I’d be shocked if it wasn’t in 2.0
