    Hi,
I’m using a Panasonic GH3 to record a voice over using a Sennheiser MKE600 with an XLR to 3.5mm cable however when I record audio it only seems to record the left channel. I have tried replacing the cable, the cable and mic record both channel fine using Audacity. The camera also records both channel fine with its built in mic, it only doesn’t when the MKE 600 is linked up. Any ideas what the problem could be.

Also other than tips in editing like the DeNoiser and the HighPass effects in Premiere Pro do you have any recommendations how I could reduce white noise/fuzz in my audio whilst recording? Would buying an external recorder like Zoom H1 or a Zoom H4N in terms of audio quality?

    Thanks,

    Cameron
