I was out shooting at a carnival last night, and I noticed some bright blue smears across the screen when shooting the bright lights. When I took the converter off it was gone. I could swear the lens was clean, perhaps not, what would be the best way to get rid of that?

Anamorphic lenses often have flares around lights- no way to avoid other than not shooting into lights.

From my understanding the Panasonic Anamorphic adapter is not the best choice. Century or some of the other big boys are yes more $y however work better and have less artifacts.

Panasonic’s adapter is the only option for the DVX. Century never made one for the DVX.

    Barry,

Not true I’m afraid. Optex makes one also, I have one, and it works well, except that it has a terrible halo from mid to wide angle, so I don’t use it much. FWIW…

I know this was an old thread Barry but I was wondering if you’re still selling your anamorphic adapter guide for the DVX100.

Also, as they seem to be out of production, I was wondering if you know a reputable source for the Panasonic 16X9 Anamorphic. I’ve seen them on ebay but I’m a little worried about the risk…
