Painting Video
Hello,
I am a beginner in after effect. Right now, I am trying to paint brush the existing video on a certain time line with after effect. Will it be possible?

Unfortunately, the whole video is painted instead of only for certain timeline. How to paint the video ONLY ON CERTAIN TIMEFRAME ?

I also have tried pressing PAINT in the workspace. The only problem is that I cannot change the duration in the paint TAB into something else. It seems like everything else in the PAINT TAB is DISABLED. how to enable it?

If you select the layer that holds the Paint effect and press the P key twice, quickly (PP), it will reveal the paint strokes on the timeline like mini-layers. You can adjust their timing however you like there.

How to paint over the video?
I have the mode: normal, Channels: RGBA, Duration: Single Frame.
Whenever I try to paint the video goes along the paint brush. I am using the brush tools. And not a single paint stroke comes out from the brush.
I wonder why?

to paint you need to open the video in the layer window by clicking on the video twice.
