Is it possible to paint over video in realtime playback?
My imported video file (every format) plays absolutely slowly.
    Something like RAM cache…

    Big Thanks,

One thing you can do that might speed up playback is to go to the Preferences, and under the OpenGL tab, check the “Don’t Use Texture RAM for BG” option.

What formats? What resolution? What is the length of the clip? Are you doing this with any emitters, or just the video? What video card do you have? Have you updated to the latest video drivers for your card? Are you using Windows or Mac? particleIllusion 3.0 or SE? What OS version?

(Get the point? You didn’t give nearly enough information for us to give you a good answer.)

    Hi Alan.
Sorry, but I was thinking, that this might be the issue in general.
Ok, here I go with info:
I got this problem with all formats, including uncompressed AVI, mpeg, DV AVI, … (I got 300 MB/sec disk speed)
Lenght is max 10 seconds, Emitters or just video – doesnt matter – all the same.
Video card : Nvidia Quadro FX 1400
    Latest drivers : Yes
I am using Windows X64 on HP xw8200 workstation, 8GB RAM
    Particleillusion 3.0
Turning off texture buffer didnt make any result.

    Thanks in advance,
