  painting in a straight line

  Hi folks,

  The method I’ve always used to paint a straight line is to (1) click on a point at the start of the stroke (2) move the cursor to where the stroke is to end (3) hold down shift and (4) click to end the stroke. The line is added between the two points.

  This used to work fine, but now doesn’t. Can anyone tell me how to get it back?

  I’m using Photoshop CS.
