Painting directly onto a frame in Adobe Premiere CS4
Hello Everyone,
I am editing a film in Premiere CS4, and a problem I’m having to fix is fact that there were a lot of dust particles on camera lens when it was shot, and this is showing prominently in the the footage I’m working with.
I have done a few things to help reduce this, including applying a Median filter (which of course reduces the resolution) as well as creating dust mattes in Photoshop (and importing them into Premiere) to blot out the more prominent large dust particles.
The problem with this is that when the picture is moving such as over a person’s face, the background color is constantly changing, so a large number of dust mattes have to be created just to get right of one big dust particle. This can be very time consuming and the results aren’t the greatest, so I’m hoping that there is a better way.
I was thinking, is there any way to paint *directly* onto a frame in Premiere to correct things like dust particles, without having to import/export layers or frames that have been created in Photoshop? If there is such a feature, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could point out how to use it. Or, if there is a better way I’d really love to hear it.
Thanks very much in advance.
