  • Paint Layer that automatically pulls color from object behind?

Posted by Kevin Tosi on May 30, 2016 at 6:58 am

Hi, I’m working on a 2d animation and adding in mouths at the moment. My characters always have a flat, closed mouth that’s part of the drawing and I just add mouths over them to cover them up. However, for my “O” mouths, you can see the edges of the closed mouth poking out the sides. Instead of duplicating my mouth comp for each character, is there a way to add a paint layer that absorbs the color automatically from the layer behind it?
    Thanks in advance!
