P2 Transfer to Quicktimes, all the files do not convert.
I have a few folders of P2 footage that I am trying to convert to Quicktime.
First I import the folder with all the P2 contents. Say the folder has 30 clips of Audio=MXF, Clip=XML, Icon=BMP, Proxy, Video=MXF, and Voice. So I add the folder into the Import Panasonic P2 in Final Cut. Then Add Selection to Queue to make Quicktimes. “THE FILES DO NOT ALL CONVERT”. I can see all the files in my Import, but they are not all converting into Quicktimes. Please Help. -

Before you add the selection to the queue, make sure you select them all (Apple-A) then hit the add selection to queue button.

Yes, they were all selected. We watched the files being converted and seeing some being skipped while converting.

Any errors or warnings? Are you sure they weren’t just short clips? What happens when you watch those particular clips before importing? What do they look like?
What format is the footage?

Try unchecking “remove duplicate frames” in the P2 import window prefs.

Thanks for the information guys. Found out that the transfer worked when you just drop the clips in, instead of doing an add to.
Don’t know why, but it worked.
