  • P2 shot media is not showing in the Log and Transfer

Posted by Steve Day on February 21, 2009 at 10:09 pm

    Hi guys,

Has anyone had an issue where by there P2 shot media is not showing in the Log and Transfer window when using Final Cut Pro 6.0.5 I have been using P2 media for almost 2 years with no problems. But I have just pointed Log and Transfer window to my shot P2 media and it will not show in the main media window. I can see the media (folder structure) on my hard drive but it will not list the clips in the media window. The only thing that has changed is I have installed the RED suite of Applications this week and REDCODE QT Codec v3.5.

    Has anyone had this experience?
    I have tried deleting preferences.

Thanks for any help on this one!

Did you perchance install FXFactory too?

Try uninstalling the Red Suite and see what you get.

    Hi Guys,

Tried to un-install the Red suite. Still no difference.
All the footage I have shot reads fine on my Mac Book Pro but not the tower.
Another strange thing is this problem fixes itself for about one import session in 40 (approx)
so its not a totally permanent problem, just most of the time.. making it commercially un-workable.
