P2 Log & Transfer works on Mac with older FCP, not my Mac/FCP 6.0.5
Client has folder with “Contents” (including its subfolders (Audio, Clip, Icon, Proxy, Video, and Voice), and “LASTCLIP.TXT.”
On his FCP 5 XXX computer, the clips show up in File/Import/Panasonic P2.
But on my FCP 6.0.5 computer, using File/Log & Transfer, they don’t.
I’ve tried many varieties of Easy Setup, I’ve pointed the “add folder” to the folder which holds Content/LastClip.txt.
I’ve downloaded several P2 drivers, including an AVC-Intra driver and P2 reader.
I’d appreciate any insights. I’m not familiar with the P2 workflow, although I’ve spent most of the afternoon reading this forum and several “white papers” on the web.

Why not have the client do the ingest and bring you the resulting .MOV files so you can edit?

Do you have FX factory 1.0 or a demo installed? That intrfered with p2 import.

Same problem here:
I had FCS 1 installed on my macbook pro and ugraded to FCS 2, so i imported clips on my shoot with my HVX, everything works fine. As soon as u power up the p2 store, it’s recognised and FCP does its job fine.
We usually shoot for many other people, so just last week we shot a music video for a client who has a fresh intall of FCS 2, His 24″ I MAC sees the p2 store fine, but when i open Log and transfer nothing comes up at all.What gives. On all other systems i’ve used FCP sees it automatically.
