    P2 import?

    Hello,
    I’m running an Avid Adrenaline V.1.8.2, on a mac. I received a folder from a client that was shot on the HVX200 p2 cards. It was shot at DVCpro50, 60i and 30i (the 24p with pulldown). I do not have an Adrenaline HD. Can Avid import directly from the folder? In the meantime, I’ve been converting the files with FCP and then importing the quicktimes. Does Avid have a plugin that will allow me to import from the P2 file structure?

    Jeff, if your version of Avid supports the P2 files then you’ll need to create a special folder hierarchy on your media drive and copy the audio and video files from the P2 folder into it. I don’t recall the exact names offhand, but a search in Avid’s Xpress Pro forum should turn up the thread that I learned from.
