P2 Import problem
I’m having problems with 8.0.2 importing P2 MXF files on two of our workstations. It seems to work fine on our laptops, but not at all with the G5 PPC workstations.
Anyone else seeing this or have any solutions?

In addition to the above problem.
If I import the P2 files on one of our laptops and then try to open the saved project on a desktop machine, the files go offline.Then when I try to re-link the MXF file, I get an error saying “file not supported. AE does not support files of “@@@@” type.”
Sounds kinda strange.

oddly enough, there was a comment posted today on the live docs page for Import assets in Panasonic P2 format stating that the mxf/p2 import worked only on intel macs… i don’t remember hearing anything about that prior.
you might try posting on adobe’s ae forum to see if their is a workaround or mention of a future patch…
