P2 import problem
hi, i’m having troubles importing some P2 footage.
we shot a bunch of stuff with the Panasonic HVX200 in full HD 25p on a FireStore hard drive. dumped the stuff onto a backup drive and started importing it from there. much to our chock a big precentage of the shots can’t be imported. when you add them to the cue, nothing happens, a warning sign appears which gives you the option to retry or remove.
funny enough (actyually not very funny) all clips that can’t be im ported are less than 20 seconds long. could that be the reason?

Have you read this documentation? Perhaps it will help. (There is an Organize P2 step carried out on the drive before importing.)

thanks, but yes everything is done just like it’s supposed to, as far as i know. without the organize function, fcp will not even recognize the material. we only have trouble with the short clips.
