  • P2 footage transferring in FCP as slow motion! Help!

As went to shoot in China, our P2 camera got caught up in customs, so we had to rent a P2 camera in China. The China model was the HPX200. We shot at 720p50.

When we loaded it through log and transfer in Final Cut Pro, all the clips came in slow motion with the audio cutting off after 3 seconds. I then made a 720p50 project and transfered it again, but it still had the same problem. However, in the log and transfer preview window I can play the clips just fine. It only messes up when it’s actually transferred into FCP. When I checked the transfered clip settings I saw that it loads in as 720p50 29.97.

I downloaded the free P2 Contents Management Software from Panasonic’s website and also could watch the files just fine. I’m quite puzzled!

Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Krisi

I figured out the problem. I needed to take off the ‘remove pulldown’ option in the preferences. That way I keep it natively 50fps.
