P2 files don’t display in Log and Transfer VIEWER FCP 6.0
Hey,
I’m trying to log a bunch of P2 clips in the P2 viewer and, while I can see a thumbnail of the clip in the left side of the screen, it won’t show up in the viewer. If I hit play it appears to be progressing in the viewer, but no picture or audio shows. However it imports fine and the picture and audio is now there, but that doesn’t help me actually log.
I’m running 6.0.0 on X.4.10.
Ideas?

There’s been problems with P2 footage and QuickTime 7.3. Your problem could be related.

I’m running 7.2. Is there any kind of workaround?

Don’t upgrade to 7.3 as that will cause more problems. I’m not sure why it would be doing that in 7.2. You should post in the P2 forum to get more answers.

Can P2 Clips be transfered into Final Cut straight from a HVX camera via firewire or USB to a MAC?
