  P2 files don’t display in Log and Transfer VIEWER FCP 6.0

  Hey,

  I started this on the FCP forum and it was recommended I bring it here.

  I’m trying to log a bunch of P2 clips in the P2 viewer of FCP 6.0.0 and, while I can see a thumbnail of the clip in the left side of the screen, it won’t show up in the viewer. If I hit play it appears to be progressing in the viewer, but no picture or audio shows. However it imports fine and the picture and audio is now there, but that doesn’t help me actually log and break down these clips before converting to QuickTimes.

  I’m wary of updating to OS 10.4.11, QT 7.3 and FCP 6.0.2 because of the long threads on CreativeCow’s FCP forum and elsewhere relating to P2 conflicts.

  I’m running 6.0.0 on X.4.10 with QuickTime 7.2. The P2 files have all first been copied to firewire drives and I can import them (with the exception of the ‘incomplete’ files, but that should be another thread) as long as I don’t care about looking at them first.

  Ideas?
