    Let’s assume you can edit on an editsystem that can handle DVCPROHD from the P2 cards.

    When you edit within a system… Edius or FCP, and you are done with your edit, and compositing, can you output your final as DVCPROHD, and what does it look like? If you have to do multiple passes on a clip how does DVCPROHD react when it s encoded again and again?

    The work I’ve done with AE & FCP on DVCProHD material looks great at the end.

    If you have to do several encoding passes on a particular task then you need to re-evaluate your workflow. Perhaps find ways to combine several tasks into a single integrated procedure and hold off on the final render until all the components are in place.
