But if i then choose cancel and reboot i se a p2 symbol in windows taskbar….but i cant find the p2 card… also i have installed p2 wiever but that installation worked nice.

    Hi,

Uninstall all of the drivers. Go to this website, download all of the dirves you will be needing, i.e. if you don’t have a P2 Store you do not need that driver. Then put the P2 cards in the slot, conntect the camera via USB, make the connection with what ever device you are trying to work and then install the drivers. That should do the trick. Don’t forget the P2 viewer.

When I push in the P2 card in the laptop it should be detected by the laptop as a new device but it doesn’t.
If i test with other pc “pcimca” cards, then the computer detects them as a new device. You meant i should have the p2 in the camera? and that i should install the usb drivers for the camera? The usb works fine to export clips but I want to use my laptops “pcimca-slot”. Sorry if I haven’t been clear enough.

What you need to do is uninstall what you have done, all of the P2 Drivers that you may have installed. Then as you reinstall each driver, you should have the device connected, should that be the P2 card in the PCMCIA slot, the P2 camera, the P2 viewer should have the P2 card in the slot. It should work once you have reinstalled.

    Good luck,

I reinstalled my hole system and tried to install the drivers that came with the camera for the pcmcia slot and i had the camera connected in switched to pc-mode in usb mode. STill don’t work. But i tested my p2 in some laptops yesterday and found out that it doesn’t work in HP laptops but in like a ibm laptop it worked fine. I called hp support and they say hp doesn’t support 8gig cards, so it must be the problem. I hope i can have my money back from the computer i had for only for days and get one that support 8 gig cards in the pcmcia slot. Maby this will be a big problem as the p2 gets bigger each year!
