    P2 clips only exported from FCP 5.1 imported into FCP 5.0.1?

    Does anyone know if I can import P2 clips (720 30p) into FCP 5.1, then export the clips as Quicktime HD (or other format), then import those clips into FCP 5.0.1 and then build my timeline? My first P2 project, and I need to use this workaround if possible…
    Just read about needing 5.0.4 update – will it work otherwise?

    YOu shouldn’t have to export the clips. Import the clips from P2. Copy the resulting quicktime files to another drive. OPen FCP 5.0.4 on the other machine, import all the clips on the copied drive.
