I am importing P2 footage and sometime I get a half blue circle once imported. When I drop the footage into the timeline it plays back choppy and sound is not sync’ed.

I tried reimporting. Does not happen all the time so not sure what is causing the problem or how to fix it.

I have tried looking on other forums and have found people with the same problem but no solution yet.

I am using FCP5 but since this is an intermitent problem I am at a loss.

A half blue circle usually means you have marked an in and out in the log and transfer window.

What format and frame rate? How are you monitoring? Is it out if sync in Quicktime too?

I import multiple clips at a time. The ones with the half blue circle are choppy but the other clips are fine. So I have not changed settings. for example if I have five takes imported on same camera setting and same FCP settings one of them might have a half blue circle and play back choppy. The others are fine.

I was shooting this week and just got back and have the same problem although this time is was only two clips out of 23.
