P2 cards locking up new install of FCP 6
I just installed FCP 6 and studio 2 on a G4 and when I open FCP, I get one read from a P2 card. Then, if I close the ingest window, I can’t get another read on the P2 card. I loaded it with the latest driver I downloaded from panasonic. I have an HVX by the way. When I try to eject the card, the whole computer locks up and I have to do a cold restart. Could it be a p2 driver. Should I go back the the driver that is on the panasonic Install disc? I was using the latest driver with FCP5 just fine.
Anyway, I need to solve this. Let me know if anyone had the same problem. If not I will call Apple.

I don’t have the same issue. Latest everything on my G4 (I just reinstalled everything from scratch).
Might try the older drivers.

I googled and found one of your old threads. I removed as much FX factory as I could and things are a little better. After I open the capture/transfer window a few times, it took the p2 cards and I was able to ingest them.
I am trying to locate all instances of FX, do you know where they reside in the library so I can remove everything? Anything else come to mid that plays with the P2 ingest? I have a lot of apps, and would like to know if anything else causes problems.
