    P2 Card not recognized on Mac G5

    I am having issues getting a G5 to recognize the P2 card.

    I downloaded and installed the driver that you suggested Shane. Now I am running FCP 5.0.4 and QTime 7.1.1 with OSX 10.4.6 on a G5 Dual 2 HGZ.

    I restarted, have the camera in MCR/VCR mode with the thumb nails present connected via the firewire 400 directly to the machine.

    The card is not mounted on the desktop.

    Any ideas???

    Switch to the MCR/VCR mode, and then hold that button down for about three or four seconds until the 1394 device status appears on the screen.

    The card will mount in about 10 seconds.
