I am having trouble logging and trans. from my external drive. got a project that I am working on want to take to p2 cards that were download onto a external drive. I see the cards and now I am wondering if someone can walk me thru steps. When I did the log and transfer I took the folder off the external hard drive put it on my internal went into final cut loaded the card into the queue but where every clip was sync up video to audio but when I transfer the audio loses sync first then drops out. Help me please. Shot on 720p 24 fps.

First off, watch this tutorial, if you already haven’t:

    P2 Workflow with FCP 6

Next…You need to turn off REMOVE PULLDOWN…

In the P2 Import window…in the P2 Browser, there is a little sprocket drop down menu. Click on that and choose PREFERENCES. Uncheck REMOVE PULLDOWN and then try importing again.

Not sure, but reading his post several times makes me wonder if he is transferring media to his internal drive from P2 files already existing on an external. If so, maybe that is an issue too.
