P2 and lack of connection to Final Cut Pro
I am currently running 6.0.4 Final Cut Pro and am trying to connect the Panasonic HVX 200A P2 camera to log and transfer the clips. Have all of the P2 drivers and still nothing will show up when I go to log and transfer. I can see the clips in P2CMS but cannot get them into Final Cut at all. Have tried on both my G5 and MacPro Intel machine. Have tried to go through the card reader (AG-HPG10) and still nothing. I have restarted, unplugged, and updated everything. Twice. Any thoughts?

Do you have FX Factory installed? Version 1 and 2 prevented the Log and Transfer from seeing P2. Removing them, or updating to 2.0.1.

Made yesterday’s work not a waste completely

Trial an error. Took all Thanksgiving weekend to figure this one out. Wiped hard drive, installed OS and FCP from scratch. Then installed updates and plugins…testing the import after each update and plugin install. Time consuming, but the best way to narrow down the issue.
