P2 and Final Cut Transfer-Jerky Playback in FC
To whom this may concern.
Recently upgraded my P2 with P2 cards..I have followed the workflow instructions and have managed to get my files onto Final Cut (Log and Transfer). When i start to review the footage the playback is almost unwatchable due to the frame rate dropping to a stand still. Is there anything i am missing out on? I also have a Sony EX1 that is a joy to use within the same process. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Make sure media is on a fast drive… likely that DVCPRO HD files are 4X larger than HDV
