P2 and Avid (not HD)
Hello,
I’m running an Avid Adrenaline V.1.8.2, on a mac. I received a folder from a client that was shot on the HVX200 p2 cards. It was shot at DVCpro50, 60i and 30i (the 24p with pulldown). I do not have an Adrenaline HD. Can Avid import directly from the folder? In the meantime, I’ve been converting the files with FCP and then importing the quicktimes. Does Avid have a plugin that will allow me to import from the P2 file structure?Thanks

Not sure about adrenaline on a mac, but I can tell you how to do it in Xpress Pro on a PC, which I’m guessing should at least be similar. If the files are in the original P2 file structure you should be able to copy the contents folder to the root of a drive and access it from the media tool. From media tool, copy everything into a bin and then consolidate them to your main media drive. This will maintain the original mxf files from the camera.
