Overlaying a texture on multiple objects
I’m new to the forums, so first of all: hello everyone!
I’ve been lurking around for a while and I’ve got a question myself. I’ll be posting some more in the future and hope to give my own tips one day too. Still a bit too fresh in cinema 4d to hand out help to others 😉
The thing I’m struggling with at the moment is; I’d like to overlay an image texture on multiple objects in my scene.
An example of this can be seen at the awesome Computerarts Opentype tutorial header image, created by ThinkDust:https://www.computerarts.co.uk/tutorials/2d__and__photoshop/make_the_most_of_opentype
As you can see there is a plane and some extruded text, but there is a quite large image overlaying everything in the scene, which looks pretty awesome.
I’m sure there’s got to be an easier way to achieve this besides creating 2 different image texture materials for both the plane and the 3d extruded text. Does anyone know how one can achieve such an effect in Cinema 4d?
Regards,
Rick
