Overlapping clips?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me with overlapping videos on Sony Vegas.
Like how the clips are overlapping in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCbefjyq-ew
So, what I’m trying to figure out is how to overlap the clips without making them look messy. And say if I had a space in the background of a clip where I wanted to put a flash of another different clip (but not so it’s completely overlapping, just so it’s faded in the corner), how would I do so?
Sorry if I’ve explained myself badly! Any remote sort of help will be appreciated! 🙂

Hi;
First, avoid the term “clip”. Vegas uses tracks, they are arranged above and below each other. Within a track, there are events.
What you want to do is very easy.
Experiment with multiple tracks. Just drag your test footage to the timeline, create new tracks as needed. By default the upper tracks will be what is seen, but you can override that by adjusting the compositing mode of the track (it defaults to source alpha, but try Add, Multiply, and look at the results.
