Overdubbing in Multitrack mode
I’m having problems overdubbing in multitrack mode. When I arm the first track (with headphones on) and record there is no problem. Record from guitar straight into the front of my computer soundcard (which is an Audiology 2 ZS Soundblaster). Then if I unarm track one and arm track 2, I keep getting the sound from track one added to track 2, plus what I’m playing while recording. This is really annoying. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on? Basically I want to be able to hear track 1 in my headphones, but not record onto track 2 while I’m trying to lay something down on there.

Check the Windows or Creative audio mixer to see if it is set for recording “What You Hear”. That means everything, and change it to “line in” or whatever you are using.
