Can someone give me any pointers on improving the audio quality of a clip where the audio (recorded from a shirt-clipped Sennheiser wireless mic.)is badly over-boosted? My term may be incorrect, rec volume was either way too high or mic poorly placed. Some audio sounds like it’s coming from a blown speaker, other is within range and is acceptable. I tried messing with the various Premier Pro 1.5 audio filters but with so many variables available I was lost.

Any help appreciated, excellent forum, thanks

This might be a question for the Audition Forum…

If your audio is clipping, if the red light blinks on the meter, than the data just isn’t there, I’m not sure if you can recover that.
You might be able to try to smooth it using an equalizer.?

In audition, I often use the Param EQ/R&B preset to smooth linear waveforms. I’m not sure if that would help, in your situation.

Any chance you could post a small clip somewhere?
