  • Outputting individual layers in a timeline – 8 gopros

I’m cutting footage for a 360 rig. We bring the footage into the timeline, and trim it so it is synced. That gives me 8 layers of video sitting on top of each other. I want to export each layer individually so I can then take all 8 trimmed gopro clips and put them in our stitching software.

I currently do this one layer at a time. I keep turning off the top layer, then exporting, then turning off layer 7 and exporting, then layer 6 and so on. Any way I could do this in a batch?

I would nest each layer which in effect lets just that layer be read as a sequence. Then you can easily load all the sequences into media encoder at once and output them.

You could even select all these new sequences in the project bin, choose export and it will send them all to media encoder at once.

Thanks that will do the trick.
