Output to mini dv cam Problem
When trying to print to tape:
video and audio are not coming out when recording to minidv camera (i tried 2 cams). on the computer it shows the clip outputing on the screen. and the tape is recording blank.When edit to tape I get this error:
“Incompatible compression settings
You may have attempted to output a clip with compression settings that do not match the current output settings. Try nesting the clip ina sequence with the correct settings.”
The original clips are .mpg files, FCP is the basic DV NTSC settings, camera is connected via firewire.Any ideas?

I don’t want to sound condescending, but have you checked to make sure the little record safe switch on the tape is set to record and not save? I’ve made this mistake before which is why I ask.
