  Output to DVD from HD

  I have some 1280×720 footage in AE that I have added some titling and effects to. I wish to burn it on DVD (I have Encore) and get the very best quality I can from the DVD.
  I saw mentioned somewhere that it was possible to use Media Encoder. Can someone explain the procedure and the theory behind it?
