Hello. I am outputting my Dv project to a digibeta from Avid Xpress DV and am wondering if anyone can tell me which quicktime codec is ideal? For example, should I export with the Animation codec or would the DV NTSC work just as well?

    Thanks in advance!

I’d use animation – you’ll generally get the most success with it.

Thanks. Perhaps you can shed some light on something else; the project is 16:9. I exported a quicktime animation at 864×486 and plan to give the duplication house that file. Should I only export at 720×486 and somehow compensate?

    Thanks,

No, I’d keep everything in it’s native size. If the project is 16:9, give it to them that way. Make sure they KNOW the project is 16:9, and if they need it at 4:3, they can easily reformat it.
