Output Playback to Monitor with Irregular Formats
Does anyone have a good workflow / workaround for displaying irregular format sized on a TV?
I have a Blackmagic DNXIO, which works great for playback in Avid, Premiere, and After Effects. But it (and many other playback devices) need a standard input signal type. 1080p23, 720p60, etc.
But in After Effects, I’m working in irregular sizes all the time. I wish there was a way to display what I’m doing on the TV, and just show a portion of my screen. Like the entire composition window (not the composition, but whats visible within the displayed window itself). Similar to how the Flame works.
Has anyone tried this? It’s sometimes difficult with clients when I keep having to switch to a playback comp. And I feel like, just for theatricality, it’s nice when the client can see stuff happening right in front of them, similar to a Flame session.
Thanks!
