  Output FCP Varicam 720P back on tape.. How?

  Maybe there is an answer to my question somewhere on Creative cow. If you know where it is, feel free to send me a link… I have read many threads and couldn’t find a definite answer.

  I’m editing Varicam footage 720p in FCP. I don’t want to do color correction in FCP but I do have some special FX shots that were rendered in 8bit uncompressed. I basically want to nest my DVC-PRO HD edit in a 8bit uncompressed FCP sequence. Questions:

  1) How do I output the 8bit sequence back on tape? (be specific, please)
  2) If I output using a DVC-PRO HD deck, is it going to recompress the footage?
  3) What deck should I use? and what format is it going to be?
