outer glow disappeared

Hi, All.

I used an outer glow effect in my illustrator project. I saved it as a pdf. When I open the pdf in acrobat, the outer glow appears normal. When I open it in preview, the outer glow is so faint, it’s hardly visible. Is there something I can do to fix this discrepancy? Can I save the file in a different way so that the glow will be consistent?

I’m sure that if you saved the file as a raster image you would see the drop shadow.
That would work, but I’m kinda’ being a smarty pants.

If your subject is white and you just can’t see it in the preview, maybe you could add a layer in the file with a dark background.

I don’t think that Adobe ever liked the idea that Apple added PDF support to Preview, so perhaps there are just going to be some limitations.
