  • Out of sync on one NTSC screen and not the other

I recently hooked up a new 46″ client monitor (Sony HDTV) to my system using the component outs. I also have a Sony PVM20 NTSC monitor set up for my reference. The PVM20 is in sync with audio out, but when watching simultaneously on the big client monitor the audio sync is sometimes way out and sometimes very close to correct – it wanders.

One note – I had to use BNC to RCA adapters on the monitor end to connect the component cables to Red Blue Green.

    Any thoughts?

LCDs inherently have some processing delay time. Some are worse than others.

It has nothing to do with the rca adaptors.

What Kona card do you have?

Thanks Jeremy. I have the original Io. No Kona, No HD.

When I eventually get a Kona and hook up via HDMI, is it more likely to keep sync then?

Well, the two monitors might not be in sync due to the LCD processing times.

    Cross that bridge….
