June 28, 2014 at 12:36 amI just heard about this last night. I’m psyched. While I personally do not believe that 60fps is worth the larger file size just for a bit smoother playback, there definitely is a difference, whether it’s very large or not. Although I severely hate Google for pushing their social media platform on us, this update will help a bit more.
Also, I heard that they are going to allow users to directly support the uploaders, which I’m even more excited about. Although I do not post content, nor do I plan on supporting very many people I know that some uploaders would really appreciate it.

June 28, 2014 at 1:22 pmMore interesting to me is YouTube is offering a free library of sound effects (in addition to the music they offered, which is pretty good quality): https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/soundeffects
