    A bit off topic here.
I’m training a new FCP user and I want to give him his own user account. I want him to be able to access the same FCP settings as mine. Many of my plugins and so on are in my user folder and not the system folder. Is there a way to copy all of my user settings into a new user folder?
    Make sense?
    Thanks,
    Tom

Should be able to copy any file to your user’s shared folder then access that from the new user folder. But if you put and plugins in the System library, then any user would see them when he/she opens FCP. Your user settings (prefs for example) have to be transferred as I earlier descibed… (You could also just put them on a CD or flash drive and transfer that way too…

    Thanks Jerry.
I was looking for a way to just copy/transfer the preferences relating to FCP without duplicating everything and giving away access to parts of my computer that I don’t want people mucking about in and messing things up.
I’ll just try to copy all the plugins & preferences and leave it at that.
    Thanks again,
    Tom
