hey c’mon – play acting here. I liked the burning house thing – thought it lent itself to a hobo vibe..

[Aindreas Gallagher] “hey c’mon – play acting here. “

Oh no, you’ve destroyed all my illusions, I always took all your posts literally, sort of like the dead sea scrolls of frustration – it’s like now there is no Santa.

You can still recover… just switch to method acting!

ha! well do you know – a little known fact – there are near to no Irish method actors, it’s a different style of craft they pursue.

try Neeson, Byrne, Kavanagh, McAanally, McCann, Gleeson – they’re on Olivier’s side:

“why don’t you try acting dear boy?”

As the man says: on the stage or the forum, the play is the thing.

I am. Running Lion 10.7.2. I’m also running it in slave mode, no monitor attached. I have a 5770 driving my displays. You can’t really use a 5970, since it needs both power cords.

I’ve never had any issues with either FCP X, FCP 7 or PP CS5.5.1 running both cards. I also ran with just the Quadro for a while, but that was just prior to running FCP X.

Make sure you download the CUDA drivers from NVIDIA. Mac OS supports the Quadro, but it doesn’t include the CUDA drivers.

    https://www.nvidia.com/object/mac-driver-archive.html

Here’s the Bearfeats benchmark showing Resolve benefits from running the Quadro in slave mode. Although they ran the test on version 7.x.

It looks like B&H has the lowest price for them right now.

What’s up with all the other responses here? Is everybody a comedian now? I come to this site for helpful and insightful conversation. Honestly.

Checked it again, since you pointed it out. I thought I made a mistake.

    But B&H is currently cheapest.

    $799 Newegg
    $750 B&H

Make sure you purchase the Quadro For Mac. They do sell the non-Mac version. It’s cheaper than the Mac version.
