OT – No more Apple Computer, Inc.

I hope when they add G3 to the i-phone they also add a more capable camera inside as well. I like the idea of always having a camera with me so the incorporation of a digital camera in a phone has always appealed to me. Problem is the manufacturers seem to think we would only want to email snaps of our hip friends doing cool things. Don’t they get it? You can preserve images on them for other uses. In Korea they’ve had camera phones in the 6-8 MB range for about 3 years. The i-phone has a whopping 2mb. With 5-6 mb you could do continuity shots, location shots, photograph the idiot who just slammed into your car etc. etc. Look how camera phones were used during the gulf war, in Canada a politician just resigned because he left the scene on an accident while impaired (supposedly). The guy he hit was a reporter who followed him and video taped him on his video phone and it made the national news. It’s the one gadget we always have with us. Come on Apple Inc., give us a decent camera phone!

Me – I’m waiting for the 9″ widescreen shoulder mount model with B4 Fujinon lens mount and 120 gb drive….
