    Hey,

I’m so excited by this and wanted to share, hopefully this will enlighten someone…

Using my two Pioneer burners (one is a dvr-107d, 8x, the other a dvr-108, 16x), Memorex 16x dvd-r, and the SwiftDisc demo (unrestricted for 10 days, plenty of time for me to knock out 80 dvd’s)…it’s only $20 for the registered version.

Burning is dead simple: you select your ISO image, check the boxes for both drives, and hit burn. Unfortunately the speed of the slowest drive dictates the speed of the burn, and in my case Windows only reports that the 8x burner can only burn at 4x (my guess is that it’s because I’m using 16x dvd-r’s). However, this does mean that I can burn two discs unattended, so the time trade-off is worth it.

Specs of the computer are recent but not mind blowing (I work at a high school): AMD XP processor, 512mb RAM, integrated video, my 16x drive is the master on IDE-0, my 8x drive is the master on IDE-1 and the hard drive is the slave on IDE-1. The hard drive is a Maxtor 100gb, 5400 RPM, IDE, ATA 100, 80-pin cable. Really nothing to get excited about.

Just imagine, being able to load up 3 or more drives in a single computer and being able to burn 3 or more discs at a time… 🙂

    Take care,

    Nick
