(OT) Mouse-over details box
This is just a general Windows question, but I can’t find a way (or where) to turn off the cream-colored box that pops up anytime I mouse over an item in Windows that shows information about the item.
Anyone know how to turn the dang thing off?

Those little help popups when you hover over an item are called tooltips, and the application has to provide an off feature for that.

It happens also in Windows Explorer, but I can’t find where to turn it off. Any ideas?

Sorry, nothing that I know of. I have seen misc applications provide an OFF but nothing Microsoft.
