OT: Digital still camera ideas
Hey there,
I’m wanting a decent 5-8 megapixel still camera which has an intervelometer or will take an attachment to trip the shutter at short intervals, plus the ability to control the exposure. (within reason, of course)
I don’t need a bunch of other bells and whistels, just a basic 24-85mm or thereabouts lens and the shutter ability described above. I’d want it to have or be able to get a pretty large card for it so I could take 400 or so shots. I want this for time-lapse.
Anybody got one for sale, or know which models can do this and where I can get one cheap? Used is fine, don’t care about the brand either.

Digital Rebel or any digital Canon SLR will do this. They make a intervelometer shutter release cable or you can hook up to a laptop and trigger it and also have the picture capture right to hard drive.

Olympus makes the SP510UZ which has the time lapes feature. It takes one pix from on minute to how ever long you want the time difference to be. One short fall is that it will only take 99 pictures in a row, not an endless amount. It does take the 2 gig xd card which will give you about 500 pix at best rez.
I think the Canon S3 also does the time lapes thing.
